Drama in Lakersville

There has been a lot of media attention in the last few days about the L.A. Lakers. Kobe Bryant has voiced his concern about the future of the team and the direction the front office is going.
The drama began when a “insider” of the front office said that Kobe should keep quiet because he was the one who influenced the big Shaq trade (that I’m still not over). To add to the confusion the L.A Times published an article stating Kobe wants to be traded.
Well, Kobe went off revealing a lot of information that he has been quiet about for years. On his website he posted The Truth: Lakers “insider” all wrong.
There is even a post on the site referencing Shaq: I believe Kobe 100%. Kobe revealed that he had been lied to by the organization. Jerry Buss told him that they wanted to win now (during his contract negotiations) and yet in reality they wanted to rebuild (as confirmed by a meeting with Phil Jackson).
I am not a big Kobe fan and I had believed that he was the cause of the great exodus of Shaq to Miami, but I give him some credit for speaking up and trying to set things straight. Kobe said that players like Baron Davis and Carlos Boozer wanted to come to L.A but the front office objected. Huh…smokin crack!
Laker nation needs to riot (not on the beautiful city of L.A) but on Jerry Buss and force him into early retirement. Then, the man, the legend, Mr. Clutch, Jerry West can come in and call the shots and bring the “Lakeshow” back to glory. Ahh… maybe I’m smokin! jk.
