Here is a new link that I have stumbled upon: Charity Global, Inc.
Charity Global is a non-profit organization, founded in 2006, dedicated to global change through water and sanitation, hunger, disease, and education initiatives.
Their first initiative was Charity:Water.
Why Water? 1.1 Billion people (1 in 6 people) in the world don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water. Unsafe water and sanitation causes 80% of all sickness and disease, and kills more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
Where do the funds go? 100% of the funds go to water and sanitation initiatives. Currently, 250 wells are being constructed, which will aid 150,000 people. Current projects are in Africa, with an expansion in 2008 to India and Bangladesh.
How to Help? Buy a $20 bottle of water and it will give a person safe drinking water for 20 years. You can also buy bigger packages of water or use a Fundraiser Kit for your group or organization.
Go here to learn more about Charity:Water and to help those in need.
