Baller 21 in a Wordle
by Chris Harvey on 09/10/08
Have you heard about Wordle? Here is how the website describes the product:
“Wordle is a toy for generating ‘word clouds’ from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.”
This “toy” is also free. As you can see above, I created a Wordle based on text from my “About” page and also titles under the category section of my blog.
I have also seen people create a Wordle based on text from a book/article/sermon they have produced. This could be helpful feedback to see what words were used most frequent and also to creatively see what words describe your product (there is a feature to exclude common words).
