Conference Trip to Nashville
by Chris Harvey on 09/19/08
Heading down to Nashville, TN this weekend for an Hispanic church leadership conference put on by LifeWay (nothing online about this conference, but they tell me it’s a go).
The sessions that our church, New Dawn, will be concentrating on will be with Sunday School and Youth Ministry.
The Hispanic division of the Kentucky Baptist Convention is sponsoring many leaders from it’s local churches to go to this conference,
thank you.
This will be a first for me, but I am told that sessions will be in Spanish and English. However, it will be a good opportunity because my Spanish needs to improve drastically.
Hopefully this will be a productive conference for our church as well, where some of our leadership can gain some tools to better serve our community.
We shall see.
Any suggestions on a good place to eat?
A guy from work suggested, if we had the time, to go to Robert’s Western World down on the strip (“The best music anywhere,” he said, “because you know music is my thing”).
This is coming from a guy that has cowboy boots on, a huge belt buckle, a sweet mustache, and plays in a cover band that rocks country and classic rock.

The conference was good but waking up at 6am was just no fun.
