12 pounds, 6 ounces, 24 inches

The figures above (12 pounds, 6 ounces, 24 inches) are not how much I gained after killing this cake on my first birthday. They represent how much I weighted when I was born!

Much of that can be attributed to the fact that I was three weeks late, and that my mom craved Mexican food twice a week (you know I’m going to have me some tonight).

I’m such a late bloomer and feel like I have so much more I want to do with my life.

31 years have gone by really fast, and I know that I am not promised another year, so I am thankful for the years that I have been blessed with, and look forward to making the most of every year I get from here on.

Here’s to another year of life, birthday cakes, Mexican food, family, and friends!

Bubba, Mom and I love you dearly and are grateful to God for you, your life, your love of Him, your wife, and life itself. Our prayer for you today is summed up in Prov. 3:5-6 - Trust in Him, He will direct.” Just make sure you keep “you” out of the equation!

    Love, Mom and Dad
