Hip Hop Concert @ New Dawn

We had a good turn out for our service/concert yesterday. We did have a few visitors from the community and also another church in our county that came to join us.

The youth loved it, but I’m not so sure some of the older folk were into it (there were a few that were popping their head).

Blue Chip and Specialists performed well and were as real as you can get with the message. They were raw with the story of their life before Christ and in calling out everyone to get their life right.

I know one girl decided to get her life right with God because I had the privilege to pray with her and lead her to Christ.

Also, a few others acknowledged their need for prayer with the struggles and temptations they are facing in life. It was great to see God at work in the hearts of people.

I took some video, but the quality doesn’t deserve any play. I found out after the event that a new local Latino radio station, that our church has built a relationship with, has an HD video camera, but just doesn’t have the time to operate it.

Dang! You know thoughts ran wild in my head when I heard that, right?

Maybe I can offer my services for a few events in exchange for using the video camera for a few events that I am working on (church, sports organization)?

There is an Hispanic Festival next weekend, that the radio station is sponsoring, and they need someone to take some footage of the event. We shall see!
