UCLA plays my Alma Mater

Last night at Pauley Pavilion, the home of the UCLA Bruins, my Alma Mater, California Baptist University, played an exhibition basketball game.
CBU is ranked 5th in the nation this year (NAIA), and UCLA, who needs no introduction, is one of the elite programs in Division I Basketball (NCAA).
CBU ended up losing by a score of 86-58, which was expected, but what a great opportunity for the team and school to get to play against UCLA.
I don’t know how they landed this game on the schedule, but what a step in the right direction for the program.
Things have changed since I played (1996-2000)!
I remember getting the opportunity to play some Division I schools (Loyola Marymount, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Southern Utah) and it was a fun experience.
But getting to play at the home of UCLA must have been a treat.
The level of skill, athleticism, and intensity faced against UCLA could have done nothing but help CBU in their development for the rest of their season.
We will see how the rest of the season goes!

Yeah, and I got to see you play one of the three. That was a thrill for me. You are still my favorite player . . . .
